Hey, I’m Sarah! I am a young wife and stay-at-home mom of 2 gorgeous girls. I love snapping pictures of my little ones, shabby chic home decor, shopping, finding ways to help my family save money, chocolate covered pretzels, sweatpants, music, naps & Jesus.
About Mommy Suite
I created Mommy Suite shortly after we moved from a small 2 bedroom condo in New Jersey to a much bigger house in Georgia. I found that we had way too much space and not enough furniture/ decor to fill it so I created this blog to document my journey as I transform my house into a home on a tight budget.
I am so excited to have a creative outlet in which I can share my day-to-day life with you. On Mommy Suite you will find encouragement for moms, home decor ideas, money saving tips, organization, DIY projects, and so much more. Ideally, I like to post at least once or twice per week.
I am in my mid-20s. I graduated from Lincoln University in Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in elementary/ early childhood education in 2012. While there I met my amazing husband, Michael. We got married exactly four weeks after we graduated and conceived our little Madison 3 days later (let’s just say we don’t like to waste much time). While pregnant with Madison, I began my master’s program in instructional technology (I’ll tell you more about that later). When Madison was 19 months old we welcomed our second daughter, Olivia. I adjusted to having the infamous 2 under 2 and eventually went back to work as a 3rd grade teacher. Shortly after returning to work, Michael and I decided that it was better for me to stay home with the girls again– so we moved to Georgia and began our lives here.
Michael is an IT Auditor at an accounting firm. He loves all things tennis, soccer, and cars. He is constantly looking for a project to work on so its only right for me to recruit him for the handy work of my DIY projects.
Madison is my very strong willed but super compassionate 2 year old. She is obsessed with fruit, Mickey Mouse, and her little sister, Olivia.
Liv is our cuddle bug of a one year old. She is all about eating, dancing, and building her little vocabulary!
Our family is NOT perfect but we are grateful for the grace that God extends to us on a daily basis.
